Ensure DRR platform members include Civil Society Organizations (CSOs) representing different at-risk groups, including Disabled People Organisations (DPOs), Older Peoples Organisations or Women's Organisations.
Facilitate the participation of DRR practitioners with disabilities in DRR platform activities. Ensure accessible venues, accessible communication and provision of specific individual assistance.
Ensure the materials developed by DRR platforms consider different at-risk gropus and use sensitive language.
Use DRR platforms to showcase good practices around inclusion different at-risk groups in DRR to influence DRR stakeholders at the national level (governments, donors, CSOs, UN agencies etc.) for increased recognition of inclusive DRR programming.
Promote the observation and celebration of international days related to inclusion within the DRR platform, like the international day of person with disabilities on December 3.
Ensure the mapping of DRR related resources (human, financial and material) recognises different at-risk groups and their needs. For example, mapping DRR actors who have expertise and actively promote inclusion in their DRR programming.
